About the Program

The Scrabble workshop is a structured competitive word game experience designed to sharpen vocabulary, spelling, and strategic thinking. Students are introduced to tournament-style Scrabble rules, tile management strategy, and scoring techniques. Sessions combine guided practice rounds, word-building challenges, and competitive matches, helping students develop language skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure. The format encourages sportsmanship, patience, and analytical thinking alongside genuine engagement with the English language.

Learning Outcome:
1) Scrabble Basics & Game Rules
Students learn tournament Scrabble rules, tile management strategy, and basic scoring technique through guided competitive play sessions.
2) Vocabulary & Word Building
Vocabulary is actively built as students encounter and use high-value words, letter combinations, and strategic word placements.
3) Strategy & Game Thinking
Strategic thinking skills including board positioning, tile rack management, and reading the opponent are developed through structured matches.
4) Spelling & Word Accuracy
Spelling accuracy and phonetic word knowledge are strengthened through the repetition and competitive pressure of timed game play.
5) Sportsmanship & Mindset
Students develop patience, sportsmanship, and the ability to handle wins and losses with composure and respect.
