About the Program

The Hindustani Vocal programme at Rhymes to Ragas follows the structured curriculum of Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal. Each class begins with voice culture exercises and breathing work to develop tonal clarity and pitch stability, before moving into Swara practice, Raga introduction, and bandish composition learning.

The programme develops both technical vocal skill and musical understanding, students learn to navigate the Hindustani tonal system, not just repeat melodies. Graded examinations through Gandharva Mahavidyalaya are available (optional) for students seeking formal recognition.
