About the Program

The Hindustani Keyboard (Harmonium-style) programme at Rhymes to Ragas teaches students to play keyboard within the Hindustani classical framework, following the structured curriculum of Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal. Students learn Swara theory, scale patterns, Raga-based melody, and bandish accompaniment on the keyboard.

This is not a Western keyboard programme, it is specifically designed for students interested in classical Indian music who want to learn keyboard as their primary instrument. The skills developed here directly support understanding of Hindustani Sangeet whether or not the student also studies vocals.
