About the Program

The Carnatic Flute programme at Rhymes to Ragas follows the structured curriculum of Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, one of India’s most respected classical music education bodies. Students build correct embouchure, breath control, and precise fingering from the ground up, progressing through Swara exercises, basic Raga patterns, and graded compositions.

Sessions balance technical practice with active listening, students don’t just play, they develop an ear for Carnatic phrasing, tone, and rhythmic nuance. Graded examinations through Gandharva Mahavidyalaya are available (optional) for students seeking formal recognition of their progress.
